Katrina grew up surrounded by the entrepreneurial spirit of her late Dad. At the start of Core Sales Inc, she helped her Dad lay down the plywood on their basement floors to stock cases. She worked at marketing and trade show events during school breaks and learned the struggles of pitching sustainable products in an environment which did not acknowledge its impact on our planet.
After completing her post secondary education in International Trade & Business Management, her first official role at Core Sales Inc was in the back warehouse. After her father's passing in 2012, Katrina took over leadership at Core Sales Inc continued to build on the company's vison. Her hands-on involvement in building a start-up company and creating innovative product lines led her to be one of the rare, and few female owned Canadian companies focused exclusively on sustainable disposable packaging today. She has led the company into the 25th year of business and is looking forward to continue to lead the future direction of the company.

The (late) Dean Ramdath had over 20 years of experience in the Food & Beverage industry prior to starting Core Sale Inc. As both a small business owner in the restaurant industry and territory sales rep at a large corporate distributor, his passion for the food and beverage industry became a lifelong pursuit.
He started Core Sales Inc in 1997 after noticing many local family-run, ethnic restaurants could not afford the higher minimum order requirements from larger suppliers. When he discovered cups being made from corn (PLA), he thought that it would be a great way for Canadians to lower the amount of garbage being used and produced within the industry.
